I grew up eating beans, never got gas. Then for years I didn’t eat any and still no gas. It is in how they are prepared (typically). Soak 8 hours (minimum) and cook with some garlic until cooked. When it comes to canned, I’ve never had problems either.
love your videos, just wondering if you have any tips for overeating?
I always prepare too much food :/ i’ve always done it and so did my mom 🙁
i’ve also been the same weight eversince i was 12years old…

Thanks Hannah,
I’ve battled with my weight for most of my life. Like you, tried every “diet” around. Lost more weight than I actually weighed over the years. I appreciate the no stress, take it easy, make it a lifestyle approach you give here. I pray for blessings on you for the help and inspiration you give to so many of us.
I love this way of eating! Thank you sooo much! I’ve only been doing it for a week and I lost 3+ lbs already! And I’m not hungry! It’s awesome!! I do have a lot of gas too tho. But it’s all good!
Thank you so muh for your videos. It is so refreshing to see someone who is so human and understanding. I watched a few other vegan bloggers in the last years: RawChristina is too perfect, it seems impossible to eat at that level, Freely banana sounds too crazy, I don’t want to ingest that many calories, other ones seems so disconnected from real life…
But you have a no nonsense, human et simple approach that really speak to me.
I have been “dreaming” to become vegan since a few years now, but it looked so complicated, it was really discouraging, moreover, the vegan community is sometime so judgmental, it seems as you can never be good enough, that even perfection would not be perfect enough.
Listening to your videos, your non judgmental and human approach, the simplicity of your program, without fancy expensive ingredients, while eating comfort food made me believe that I can do it, and I am so thankful for your message.
I saw one of your video 3 days ago, and I started the vegan high carb low fat 2 days ago and I love it!
I’m satisfied, and more importantly, I don’t crave for sweets and junk!
Thank you so much !!!!!
Hannah…like Christiane just said, I too have tried every friggin’ diet and was toying with the keto diet for the past 2 weeks. No way. First of all, I’ve been a vegetarian for over 30 years, but the kind that thinks potato chips is a veggie =). Anyway, I stumbled onto you videos (you guys are so cute) and so glad I did. Girl, you have inspired me to really get healthy and in the process lose some weight. FYI, I am 5’5″ and weigh 150 lbs. but still too fat for my liking. So hopefully this junk-food-junkie can finally kick sugar and chips and be happy. so…
Thank you for all that you give…it will come back to you.
Thanks Hannah, I’ve been vegan for 2.5 years and initially put on weight doing rtill4 about 6 kgs and then lost 4 kg’s when changed to mainly whole foods. I need to lose another 4-6 kgs and I know that quitting coffee and chai lattes will help but can’t seem to quit this habit. Melbourne Australia is the coffee drinking capital of the world… and I love it 😥
Hannah- You have inspired me to start eating healthier to feel GOOD about myself! Thank you for everything you do. You are amazing.
I have a question though… The hardest thing I’m dealing with right now is curbing SUGAR cravings! I just want a cookie!
How would you suggest staying away from refined sugars?
Thank you again for everything you and Derek do! You are incredible!
Hope this is not TMI but how do you deal with gas I love beans but omg I CANT DEAL
Same!
